It has been a while since I have visited this wiki I started a couple years back, I am sorry about leaving it unattended I have recently switched majors and due to a few other stress this got left by the wayside. However despite the fact that I am no longer a history major and therefore will likely not be teaching History, I still have a great fondness for it and do wish to consider updating this wiki. I guess I should start this year off right (although a little late admittedly) by thanking everyone who has joined the wiki. Second I want to put out a request for ideas of how to improve the wiki, whether there are ideas that you would like to see implemented, but ultimately my goal is to see more involvement from other members. During my absence I have found some more website that I would like to recommend for use in a classroom, regardless of the class one is teaching, but at the same time I think what makes wikis so great is the ability for them to be collaborative. In the end that is what I hope will happen in this year. Although I cannot always guarantee that I will be able to update this constantly, I hope to have a greater commitment to it in hopes that we will see other people posting websites, reviews, ideas, etc. and that good honest discussion and constructive criticism will be able to improve not only this wiki but how we approach classroom teaching. Again thank you to all of you who are a part of this with me, the fact that people are interested in this is quite humbling.

An old History teacher of mine might let me implement my Running Time-line idea into his AP European History class and observe it in action. This would allow me to see what works and what needs improving. I'll post my results here for people to read. I may or may not create a new page for people to post detailed reports, or I might just add a link to a file sharing website to be more organized. something like Slide Share.

Added a new page called Experiences of, and Theories Dealing with: Technology. Definitely something to check out, I personally have not added anything to it yet. I am really hoping that this page will help with creating discussion, as well as further understanding of technology. I'm going to start announcing new members, so sorry for not doing so with other users but I do find it worth while to welcome new members, there fore I'd like to welcome cmiraglia to History Across America. If anyone would like to design a picture heading for the new page, or has an idea for a picture heading drop a comment on the page.

I've also changed the color scheme, this is not permanant. This wiki aside from being a way to enhance learning in classrooms through the use of technology, was also a part of an assignment I had for my Computer Applications in Education class. This wiki was originally an assignment, however if I was going to put time and effort into creating something I decided I wanted it to be useful and to continue beyond the assignment, and thus History Across America was born. This relates to the color change in that I had my final in my class today and part of the exam was demonstration and therefore I had to change the color of the wiki to this orangeish/yellowish. As soon as my final is graded I will be changing the color scheme back to normal.
