The purpose of this Wiki is to connect history teachers (or soon to be history teachers) across America for the purpose of sharing ideas for classes, class assignments, and to promote the innovative use of technology for the purpose of improving history classes across America.

On the Technology in the Classroom page, teachers can store their ideas for class assignments dealing with technology.

Teachers can add their class weblogs, School sites, Webquests, and anything having to do with their class on the side bar.

Users can also add helpful videos from the internet in the Relevent Videos section.

Other types of teachers can also join in order to view ideas, I feel that many of these ideas can be applied to other classes as well. The focus however is for History teachers.

Please head over to the DIRECTORY and add at least your name

Be Sure to Check out the News Section to keep up to date on changes and to see messages

Ok, first question...what is a wiki? Is it linked to wikipedia?

Wikipedia is an example of a wiki, I could try to explain but I'll put up a video that will do better

I really appreciate your putting up the video Mark. What a great initiative. I am still trying to find my way and decide what the best practices are for technology and Internet use in the classroom.

Well, you can't go wrong with a wiki. The classroom applications are endless. :-)
